NEWS ALERT!!! The Freedom from Religion Foundation group has dropped the case against Pastors' Housing Allowances. They did this due to a US Supreme Court ruling in April concerning an Arizona taxpayer case which undermined the grounds for the FFRF California case. They (the FFRF) have stated, though, that they are not giving up the fight. We will keep you posted when we hear of any additional information concerning the housing allowance battle.

Jean Hartley established this firm in order to provide ministers with expert tax consultation concerning ministry tax. She is a tax accountant specializing in ministry tax and accounting with 27 years of experience in the accounting field and 19 years specializing in ministry tax.
About our Founder Jean Hartley:
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Anderson University in 1984, is an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, a member of The National Association of Tax Professionals, a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals and a member of the Christian Management Association. She works with many pastors, churches and non-profit organizations (large and small) and will provide you with the highest degree of professional service.
She is dedicated to developing her clients into informed decision makers. She will put you in control, first by listening and then by working with you to help you understand your obligations and benefits concerning your tax return.

My firm serves the entire United States. I have experience preparing returns in all 50 states. ( I have prepared approximately 4800 ministry tax returns in my 19 years of experience.) Consulting with the new pastor coming out of seminary , the part-time pastor, the evangelist, and the retired pastor has been my specialty for many years. On a personal note, I am currently the Chairperson of the Audit Committee for the Board of Pensions Trustees, Church of God-Anderson, Indiana; a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals; a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents; a member of the Christian Management Association; a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals; the treasurer of three Churches; Children's Drama Director at my local Church and I have a ministry of financial budget counseling for families in need. My husband of 27 years and I have lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the past 24 years. I am also very blessed to have three wonderful children, (and now a son-in-law and grandchild!) who love the Lord. I literally love what I do and look forward to working for you!
